Find the documents (Forest) is part of a storyline fork introduced to S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Lost Alpha from v1.4000 onwards. It is renamed Find docs in the mine from v1.4007.

Overview[]
- Having successfully Found the documents in Agroprom earlier in the game, Sidorovich indicates to the player on conclusion that there may be other papers elsewhere in the zone.
Notes[]
- If the precursor mission was failed, this part of the Documents Thread will not be issued.
- There are five documents to be found.
- The mission has provision for early completion without all six documents, however this will result in a termination of the Documents Thread. This particular path will also result an inferior reward from Petrenko.
- Failing to fully complete the task will also affect the player's trajectory in terms of game Endings in an irreversible manner.
- The five documents consist of:
- Research journal (listed in gamefiles as a Forest doc, but not implemented here and found subsequently)
- Contract
- Report
- Complaint (located upstairs in the first building encountered when entering the mine compound)
- Letter
- Financial papers
- Successful completion will result in the Find the documents (Dark Valley Underground) mission being issued (although the Research journal target item may be acquired beforehand)
- Partial completion, resulting in a lesser reward being given, also terminates the Documents Thread.

- v1.4002+:
- The items of interest to Voronin that are the target of the Run-in at the old mine mission are NOT elements for this mission.
- Successful completion of this mission grants one skill point.
