The Purple Beads is a unique artifact found in S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Lost Alpha.

Some kind of "Gold beads". Nobody knows how this artifact works. It allows stalkers run faster and jump higher.
- v1.4007

Overview[]

  • There is only one instance of this artifact on the board. It does not spawn in the wild and doesn't have a parent anomaly.
  • The only instance of this artifact is found in the Countryside during the sub-mission A petty thief issued by Maj Griboyedov. It's located in the same cluttered room as the Registered Fort-12, in the far left corner, behind a green crate. (v1.4007)
    • You can surrender this artifact to Maj Griboyedov, which will open a quest thread for artifact recovery. As the rewards from those quests are only monetary, losing a unique and useful artifact for it is NOT RECOMMENDED.
  • Wearing this artifact makes the player sprint faster and jump higher:
    • additional_sprint_koef = +0.3
    • additional_run_koef = +0.2
    • additional_jump_speed = +0.75[1]
  • The artifact has no negative qualities.
  • The effects of this artifact stack with sprinting and jumping effects provided by armor. Together with SSP-100M (and maxed Endurance skill) it allows the player to achieve the maximum possible sprint speed in the game. With Exoskeleton M1, it allows the player to achieve the maximum possible jump height.

Old versions[]

This artifact doesn't have any positive or negative properties. However, each bead is of enormous value in the Big Land. It is considered to be like a diamond, because of its harmless properties. Authorities overlook its sale in jewelry stores all across the world.
- Inventory description, v1.4002 - 1.4005
  • Prior to v1,4007 this artifact was known as Supernova. In v1.4007, it was renamed to Purple Beads, and a different artifact by the name of Supernova was introduced, creating much confusion.

Trivia[]

  • Shares the inventory icon of the Red beads artifact seen in versions 1.30013 - 1.4005.
