The Night Star is an artifact that is found in S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Lost Alpha and all canon S.T.A.L.K.E.R. games.

This wonderful artifact is formed by the anomaly Trampoline. The use of the artifact demands the neutralization of deadly radiation. Expensive and rare, this artifact is extremely interesting for scientific expeditions and other research activity in the Zone.

Born in the "Springboard" anomaly. It is the result of gravitational influence on ordinary dust. The artifact literally glows from the overwhelming energy. When in contact with a living organism, it significantly strengthens his tissues. It is extremely interesting for scientists and other researchers of the Zone's activity. Emits radiation.

Overview[]

v1.30013 - 1.4005:
  • Not very common across the Zone, but easily obtained from three spawn points.
  • One spawn point is readily accessible south-west of the Gas station in Dark Valley, although the area is patrolled by Cats which tend to increase in number through re-spawns unless culled occasionally.
  • The other spawn points are the pair of Anomaly Fields in Outskirts, both of which have a high probability of spawning a Night Star.
  • All of these points may be infiltrated without armour to minimize suit attrition.
v1.4007:
  • Rarely discovered in the previously noted spawn points due to game recoding.
  • Comparatively, a fairly common spawn from its parent anomaly and widely distributed through the zone.

Notes[]

v1.30013 - 1.4005:
v1.4007:
  • No longer used in the unavailable Flame recipe.
  • Now used in the Mercury ball recipe.
  • Much more useful in this version for routine "rupture" protection.
All versions:

Trivia[]

  • Despite its utility for "rupture" protection, this artifact is relatively heavy.
  • If its other homologues are available, more efficient "rupture" protection combinations are possible.
